It’s publication day for my newest essay "Putting Myself in the Way of Joy," which I wrote about my first experiences using a paddleboard at Montague Park, on Galiano Island.
The essay was published Pangyrus Literary Magazine.
I read this essay last winter at a Galiano Island Literary Festival event. It was the first time I’d read such a Galiano-centered essay at home. And the audience loved it.
